OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PRESS RELEASE

Attempted Robbery at Thortons Convenience Store in Buckner

On October 26th, at approximately 11:54 p.m., Oldham County Police were dispatched to an attempted armed robbery at the Thortons Convenience Store, 4731 West Highway 146 in Buckner.

The clerk reported a white male, dressed in blue jeans, a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, wearing a black ball cap, and a black Nike draw string back pack, entered the store through the frount entrance. The clerk reported the white male approached the counter, brandished a hand gun, and demanded money and cigarettes. At that time, the clerk advised the white male the police would be there soon. The white male then fled the store on foot, without any money or merchandise.
