Wednesday, October 03, 2007 at approximately 4:30 PM, the Oldham County Police Department responded to a fatal tarffic collision at the intersection of KY 146 and Maple Avenue in Pewee Valley, KY.

A red Dodge pickup truck, pulling a trailer, was traveling eastbound on KY 146 approaching Maple Avenue, when a white Buick passenger car pulled out of Maple Avenue onto KY 146 into the path of the oncoming pickup truck. The pickup truck struck the white passenger car in the driver’s side door. 

Chauncey A. Latimer, 79 years of age from St. Matthews, was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger, Beryl Edna Latimer, was transported to Baptist East Hospital with what appeared minor injuries. 

The driver of the red  Dodge pickup truck, Bobby Ray Rison, 39 years of age from LaGrange, KY was treated at the scene. Rison was issued a citation by the Oldham County Police for "License to be in Possession" and "Failure to notify Department of Transportation of Address Change".
