Murder Suicide in Westport 

Oldham County Police are investigating a double shooting in Westport.  Police were called at 12:50 PM on Monday, November 19, 2007, and advised of a shooting that had just occurred.  Police arrived shortly afterwards and located two subjects in the 6800 block of Clinton Street with gunshot wounds.  Witnesses told police that the male subject, Charles Dye Jr., 51, shot his wife, then shot himself.  The victim, Tasha Dye, 35, was staying with a family member and had a Domestic Violence Order against her husband at the time of the incident.  A teenage daughter of the victim was also present during the incident.  Both the victim, and the perpetrator, were pronounced dead at the scene.
