Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at approximately 11:00 PM a Hometown Pizza Manager was making a night bank deposit at the Bank of Oldham County in Crestwood Kentucky when two males attempted to rob him at gunpoint. Although the two suspects were dressed in clothing to hide their identity, the manager recognized one of the assailants as a previous employee. Approximately five minutes after the incident an Oldham County Police Officer observed a red 1995 ford pick-up truck turn into the Oldham County Parks and Recreation Center. After approaching the vehicle the Officer observed what appeared to be a sawed off type rifle extending from underneath the seat. After searching the vehicle a sawed off loaded 22 caliber rifle and a BB style hand gun was located. The driver, Alex Logsdon, age 18, of the 1800 block of Center Drive in LaGrange, Kentucky, admitted attempting to commit the robbery while the second suspect, Ruphin Nyagatare, age 19, of the 4300 block of Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky, made no statement. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Oldham County Jail and charged with Robbery 1st degree and Possession of a defaced firearm. |
