The Oldham County Police Department is investigating a one car traffic collision which occurred on at the 17 mile marker of Interstate 71 at approximately 7:00 am on February 7, 2008.  A 1989 Ford station wagon operated by 50 year old William J. Trent of the 200 block of Iroquois Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky was traveling north on Interstate 71.  Trent crossed the median and the south bound lanes of Interstate and stuck a tree on the north shoulder on the south bound side before coming to rest.  Trent was the only occupant of the vehicle and was transported by Stat Care to University Hospital.
