Oldham County Police are investigating a shooting in the 1400 block of Bluegrass Parkway that occurred on 2-20-09, about 7:00 p.m.  Police were dispatched to the scene and located the homeowner, Jason E. Cornett, 38m years of age.  Police also found Mr. Cornett’s girlfriend, Ashley Frankrone, age 22, at the residence.  According to investigators, Mr. Cornett discharged a .45 caliber pistol, striking the victim, Ms. Frankrone, once in the side.  Ms. Frankrone was originally transported to Baptist Hospital Northeast, in Lagrange, but was later moved to University of Louisville Hospital, with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.  Mr. Cornett was arrested and taken to the Oldham County Jail, and charged with Assault 2nd, and Wanton Endangerment 1st.
