OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PRESS RELEASE

Motor Vehicle Collision Involving a Fatality and Injury
 

On December 1, 2009 at approximately 8:00 pm, Oldham County Police responded to a one vehicle injury collision, with a possible rescue in the 2700 block of KY 1817 (Cedar Point Road).  A blue 1997 Lexus, traveling North on Cedar Point Road, lost control and exited the West side of the roadway striking a tree.  Both the driver and the passenger were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency personnel. 

The operator of the vehicle,  20 year old Devon T. Willingham of LaGrange, KY was transported  by EMS to Baptist Northeast Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the Oldham County Coroner. 

The passenger of the vehicle, 19 year old Timothy A. Shain of Buckner, KY was transported by EMS to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.
