OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PRESS RELEASE

On Thursday, January 21, 2010, at approximately 9:00 AM, Oldham County Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the 11900 block of US 42. 

A 1991 Volvo 4-door passenger car was being operated by 21 year old Elizabeth N. Disney of the ten thousand block of Sun Ridge Road in Goshen Kentucky.  Disney was traveling west on US 42 when her vehicle exited the north side of the roadway, rotated counterclockwise striking a utility pole on the passenger side of the vehicle.  The utility pole then redirected the rotation of her vehicle causing it to rotate clockwise.  The vehicle continued traveling off the roadway striking a wood fence.  The vehicle came to final rest entangled with the fence.

Ms. Disney was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the injuries she suffered in the collision.  Ms. Disney was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision and there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol involvement.
