Oldham County Police Hire Additional Officers November 21, 2005, Judge Executive Mary Ellen Kinser sworn in Thomas C. Jenkins to serve as the 31st Police Officer for the Oldham County Police Department. A native of New Albany Indiana, Officer Jenkins graduated from New Albany High School in 1970. He has continued his studies at Eastern University in Richmond and University of Louisville. He is also a graduate of SPI. Officer Jenkins joined the Louisville Police Department in June 1971 and retired in August 1994. He then joined the LaGrange Police Department in August 2002 where he has remained until accepting a position with our Agency. He also served in Bosnia from May 1996 through May 1997. Officer Jenkins lives in LaGrange and has three daughters, two grand sons and two grand daughters. November 21, 2005, Judge Executive Mary Ellen Kinser sworn in Charles D. Howley to serve as the 32nd Police Officer for the Oldham County Police Department. A native of Madison Indiana, Officer Howley graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1980. He has continued his studies at Sullivan University in Louisville Officer Howley joined the LaGrange Police Department in 1994 through August 2002. He joined the Oldham County Police Department in August 2002 through January 2004 when he took a position with the Louisville Police Department and has remained until accepting a position with our Agency. Officer Howley lives in LaGrange and is married and has a son a daughter.
