OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE CELEBRATE HOLIDAY/PRESENT AWARDS
On Thursday, December 9, 2004, the Oldham County Police Department celebrated its annual Christmas Party/Awards Ceremony at the Community Center. There were approximately 100 people in attendance to include members of the vaunted Oldham County Police Citizens’ Academy Alumni. Santa and Mrs. Claus mysteriously appeared and presented gifts to the children of OCPD officers and other guests.
In appreciation for their tireless efforts in support of the Oldham County Police, the Oldham County Citizen’s Academy Alumni were recognized with a presentation of badge replicas and blanket throws with the OCPD logo on them. “We love the wonderful people in our Citizens’ Academy,” Chief Michael Griffin commented, “and their help in putting on this Christmas gathering and Awards Ceremony is but one of many things they bring to our department. We didn’t want this opportunity to pass without us showing our appreciation for them.”
During the Awards Ceremony the following OCPD personnel were recognized:
Sergeant Greg Ford, Detective Kevin Nuss, Officers Matt Cornell,
Roy Franklin, Neil Johnson, Ilya Miller and Thomas Moore each received driving
awards for exhibiting outstanding driving skills by driving 100,000 without an
assessable traffic collision
