OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PRESS RELEASE

BLUE LIGHTS ACROSS THE BLUEGRASS
 

In an effort to raise awareness of traffic safety laws and encourage safe driving habits, the Oldham County Police Department is partnering with state and other local law enforcement to promote the "Blue Lights Across the Bluegrass" campaign July 1 through August 8, 2010.  These enforcement efforts are an attempt to decrease fatalities and injuries on our roadways.

With the current summer travel and Independence Day celebrations approaching, the Oldham County Police are taking efforts to remind drivers of their responsibilities behind the wheel.

During the same time period in 2009, there were 116 total crashes in Oldham County, resulting in 28 injuries and 1 fatality. 

Law enforcement will be out in force, looking for anyone committing traffic violations.
