OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE RECOGNIZE MAYOR DEIBEL

The Oldham County Police Department has recognized Crestwood Mayor Dennis Deibel with the Spirit of the Duke Award for his storied tenure as Mayor and for his city’s support of their agency.  Deibel has been Mayor of Crestwood for 34 years and his office has provided resources to the OCPD to include in-car cameras and mobile data terminals.

“Mayor Deibel has provided valuable tools to this department that may have otherwise been unavailable to us,” stated Chief Michael Griffin, “and we wanted the Mayor to know how much we appreciate his support and that coming from the great citizens of Crestwood whom we are proud to serve.”

The award consists of a replica but non-firing Army Colt .45 Pistol mounted on a plaque containing five military service pins and an Oldham County Police Badge pin.  The weapon bears a John Wayne logo signature and an engraved plate bearing a message of thanks to Mayor Dennis Deibel.
