Two persons killed in two separate traffic collisions on Saturday, August 11, 2007
 


Oldham County Police are investigating two separate fatal collisions that occurred on Saturday, August 11, 2007. 

The first collision occurred at approximately 11:40 AM at the intersection of KY 53 and Cedar Springs Parkway in LaGrange.  A motorcyclist, Donald Heustis, age 64, of La Grange, was southbound on Kentucky 53 when a northbound car driven by Donald Deimling, 18, tried to turn left onto Cedar Springs Parkway into the path of the motorcycle.  Heustis was transported to Baptist Northeast, where he was pronounced dead.  This collision is being investigated by LaGrange Police, with Oldham County Police assisting with the reconstruction.

The second fatal collision occurred on northbound Interstate 71 near the 22 mile maker.  Witnesses said they saw a vehicle driven by Timothy Faith, age 45, of Pendleton, leave the road and flip. Faith, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, was flown to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
