On Thursday, August 11, 2005, at approximately 1:00 AM, a residence located at 7305 Lake Louisvilla Drive, in Oldham County, Kentucky, caught fire. The residents, Dennis and Iris Call, were able to escape from the structure and awaken neighbors to call the fire department. However, Iris Call later returned into the residence, apparently to rescue a pet, and did not escape a second time. Fire fighters were able to locate Mrs. Call inside the structure. She was transported to University Hospital, were she was pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is currently under investigation by the Oldham County Police Department |
