OLDHAM COUNTY POLICE PROMOTES NEW SERGEANT

After a 3 ½ month process the Oldham County Police Department (OCPD) has promoted Officer Paul Kerr to the position and rank of Sergeant.  Sergeant Kerr is a 7-year veteran of the OCPD and will assume the supervisory responsibilities over the department’s second shift.

The process consisted of a written test which counted for 60% of the overall score with an oral interview measured as 30% of the score, followed by tenure with the department counting as the final ten percent.

Sergeant Kerr is one of ten military veterans with the OCPD, having served with the United States Air Force with active duty in Desert Storm.

At a badge-pinning ceremony at the department on 6/3/05, Colonel Michael Griffin, Chief of the Oldham County Police Department, is shown presenting Sergeant Kerr with the gold shield indicative of his new position.
