Saturday, June 21, 2008, Oldham County Police investigated a fatal traffic collision on KY 1818 just east of KY 393.  Police were notified at approximately 12:30 AM of the collision involving a black 1999 Chevy pickup.  The vehicle left the north edge of the roadway crossed the center line leaving the south side of the roadway.  The vehicle flipped as it traveled down the earth embankment and ejected the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, before coming to rest on its side facing the opposite direction.  The operator and only occupant, David S. Talbott, age 37, of Ballardsville, was pronounced dead from his injuries at the scene by the Coroners office.  The case remains under investigation by the Oldham County Police.
